When downsizing from a 7000 square foot home in Fairbanks Ranch, which I had designed for many years, when their two sons left for college, they bought a 3500 square foot home in the nearby village of Santa Luz. We took all of our favorite pieces but bought a lot of new to fit the smaller scale home. We built the outdoor California Room which is attached to the family room and kitchen.
